De 12 jaar oude Double Cask heeft de perfecte smaakbalans door exclusief gebruik van ex-sherryvaten van Amerikaans en Europees eiken. Zacht, zoet en gebalanceerd. De bepalende stijl komt van het Amerikaans eikenhout dat citrus en lichte tonen van eiken voortbrengt. Dit wordt gebalanceerd door het Macallankarakter van rijk fruit en specerijen. De Macallanwhisky’s rijpen minimaal 12 jaar in deze sherryvaten alvorens ze samengevoegd worden met whisky’s die hebben gerijpt in ex-sherryvaten van Europees eiken.

Een echte klassieke Macallan in stijl, en complexe single malt. nUitsluitend gerijpt in Oloroso sherry seasoned vaten uit Jerez, Spanje. Het is voornamelijk het Europees eikenhout dat hier leidend is qua aroma en smaak. Deze whisky wordt gekarakteriseerd door specerijen en gedroogd fruit, met een natuurlijk donker gouden kleur – rijk en intens!

Our reputation for the extraordinary is characterised by the exceptional oak casks for which The Macallan is renowned. Sourced, crafted, toasted and seasoned under the watchful eye of The Macallan Master of Wood, the hand-picked casks are delivered to the demanding specifications of The Macallan Master Distiller. Once filled, the maturing spirit remains undistrubed in the same cask for a full twelve years. It is the oak that makes the greatest contribution to the quality, natural colour and distinctive aromas and flavours at the heart of this single malt whisky. It is a uniquely complex combination of oak casks that delivers the extraordinarily smooth and delicate character of The Macallan Triple Cask Matured 12 years old.
